I have worked at Fox43 since 1999. My career started on the eastern shore of Maryland in 1997. I have worked at Fox45 in Baltimore and WUSA in Washington D.C. I enjoy golfing, running, the gym and reading. Fall is my favorite time of the year because of football and the colorful leaves we get to view. While I love forecasting, I also enjoy meeting people and participating in many charity events.
What is one piece of fashion or beauty advice?
When I am feeling down or bloated, I turn to black because it is more slimming! I always feel better in black.
What type of beauty products do you use on a daily basis?
I use a Vitamin E and Collagen crème from Sams Club during the day and at night I use Aquafor as my night crème!
If someone calls you beautiful, how do you react? Accept the compliment or deny it?
I always say “Thank you so much. That is very kind of you.”
In your opinion, is there too much pressure for women to look a certain way?
Absolutely there is. In the TV business for example, you don’t see too many older women in weather. It is usually much younger women. Comments come in all the time about our clothes, make up, hair and weight. I have been told I had aging hair and should use a certain shampoo. Men do not receive many emails referring to their looks or clothes.
When I had gained a few pounds there were questions as to why. But you will see heavy and much older male anchors in the business a long time.
